Not quite sure how recently I came across the blog Glory to God for All Things by Fr Stephen Freeman an Orthodox priest in (woo hoo!) East Tennessee. Oh wait – I do know. The Valaam Monastery video on YouTube which I ran across via the website of Saint Matthew the Apostle Orthodox Church right here in Baton Rouge.
Ah those Orthodox. This excellent priest churns out every single day a lengthy post that is brilliant, beautiful, rich, and theologically profound. Two themes in particular run through his posts (just as creation and Trinity are primary themes in my own theology) – Communion (rather than “fellowship”) and the idea of a one-storied (rather than “two storied”) world.
Makes my best thoughts look like insipid gruel. Visit it. Peruse it. Bookmark it. Feast on it.
