New Disqus Comments plugin
In a nutshell I want people to be able to leave comments without me having to "approve" them - they appear immediately. But I also want to keep out spam. The anti-spam module for some reason was marking all comments - including my own - as spam. I have since added the Disqus plugin which hopefully will allow anyone with a free Disqus account to be able to leave comments that appear immediately. So far it appears to be working nicely.-

Truly brilliant. Okay. So Charles Blow of the New York Times visited a Tea Party rally and called it a “minstrel show”. One of the speakers in question was Alonzo Rachel who categorically does not deserve to be called a … Continue reading

Clark Medal recipient finds intervention makes no difference

Dennis Prager says what I’ve been saying for years (or) The left’s intellectual solipsism
Phew. Kudos to Dennis Prager for saying what I have been saying for years. Not that he got it from me at all. But that someone has expressed publicly and well something that has been on my mind for a … Continue reading

Close call for Kenya (or) the silent success of President Obama
Had another fascinating conversation last night with a friend and congregant who happens to live in my neighborhood. He is a doctoral student from Kenya and in fact will be doing the preaching for me during my sabbatical/study leave. Excellent … Continue reading

Why do I care?
Why do I care when other Americans are misunderstood and misrepresented? I believe in freedom. And I believe in the value of truth. In no way does that mean people who misunderstand and misrepresent fellow Americans who happen to disagree … Continue reading

R*pe is okay against enemies of the left? (or) ***ing Sarah Palinman
That got your attention. I have tried hard not to post this but my patience is spent. Several weeks ago read a rather strong piece “The Wilding of Sarah Palin” by Robin of Berkeley at American Thinker. In a nutshell … Continue reading

Why the Episcopal Church obsession over property? part 2 (or) Show me the money!
This is a cold cruel and cynical answer – which I had heretofore avoided – to a question explored several weeks ago. Do not just tell me that the canons say such-and-such and that legally the Episcopal Church gets to … Continue reading

Wait. We had 3/4 and now 4/5. Hunh? Let me explain. The number of weeks I would have to lead this study on Ecclesiastes went from 6 to 4 then back to 6. The session on hebel took 2 weeks. … Continue reading
