Comment Moderation
I want people to be able to post comments that appear immediately without having to be approved. But I also want to keep out spam and the anti-spam features interfere with the comment system. For some reason all comments - including mine! - go straight to a spam list. Then I must mark them as "not spam". Then they must be "approved". That is not how this website is supposed to work and I apologize for the inconvenience.-

Does the resurrection mean Ecclesiastes has nothing to say?
I do not think I did very well teaching Ecclesiastes last Sunday. Several people have said they disagree. In a nutshell have been emphasizing what Qohelet aka Ecclesiastes says is hebel. Human beings are finite. No one knows the future. … Continue reading

December is the cruelest month (for some)
Glory to God for Advent and for Christmas when we celebrate the incarnation of God the Son in Jesus of Nazareth! Advent preparation and Christmas joy. Keep that in mind when I say that for our family December is a … Continue reading

Not feeling the warm liberal fuzziness (or) "Bleep you and die Senator Lieberman!"
This may cross a line. There is a man I love and respect – whom I regard as a better man/husband/father/minister than I am – whose social-political views are often very different from mine. We are “friends” on Facebook. He … Continue reading
