New Disqus Comments plugin
In a nutshell I want people to be able to leave comments without me having to "approve" them - they appear immediately. But I also want to keep out spam. The anti-spam module for some reason was marking all comments - including my own - as spam. I have since added the Disqus plugin which hopefully will allow anyone with a free Disqus account to be able to leave comments that appear immediately. So far it appears to be working nicely.-

BabyBlueCafe – "How Blended Worship Builds Community"
BabyBlueCafe is a thoughtful blog by an Anglican who lives in northern Virginia(?). She is on my short list when it comes to intelligent commentary on religious happenings particularly within Anglicanism. From BabyBlue’s fine and thoughtful post: So instead of … Continue reading

Confusing disagreement with ignorance and antipathy (or) Pentheus rages some more
I suspect many conservative/orthodox Anglicans are grateful to God that Katharine Jefferts-Schori was elected Presiding Bishop. The Chuch of England not only has voted to allow women bishops (that was a foregone conclusion) but much more significantly showed a complete … Continue reading

Presiding Bishop responds to Gafcon (or) Pentheus rages
I can quote the whole thing because it is amazingly short: Much of the Anglican world must be lamenting the latest emission from GAFCON. Anglicanism has always been broader than some find comfortable. This statement does not represent the end … Continue reading

Gafcon and the New(?) Anglican Communion
Sigh. Something huge happened last week. Gafcon – which is not a very hot sexy or informative acronym for a conference of conservative/orthodox Anglican bishops and other luminaries in Jerusalem. Much was said. And they released a communique that some … Continue reading

Patriarchs, primacy, and the pope
About a year ago I was having a rather good lunch with some Episcopal clergy buds when the conversation turned to the relationship between Anglicanism and Orthodoxy. One of these fine priests mentioned how apparently Pope Benedict XVI without much … Continue reading

Misrepresenting History in order to Manipulate the Masses (or) Studies in Propoganda, Part II
I will not herein reproduce the brilliant analysis of the Anglican Curmudgeon. The Lambeth Conference is fast approaching – the every-ten-years gathering of Anglican bishops from all over the world in Great Britain. Many conservative Anglicans are – excuse me … Continue reading

The "Problem" with Conservative Anglicans (or) Studies in Propoganda, Part I
At Cornell University I wrote semi-regularly for the Cornell Review. Subtitle the “conservative voice on campus”. Most of my articles focused on (1) abortion or (2) analyzing and critiquing the mass media. If anything I would say the latter was … Continue reading

Anglicanism as Western Orthodoxy: Shall We Gather at The Bosporus?
Anglicanism as Western Orthodoxy: Shall We Gather at The Bosporus? Richard M. Wright (Note: I am not happy with this article. Please consider it a first rough draft that needs plenty of work.) Whither Anglicanism? And how might (Eastern) Orthodoxy … Continue reading
