New Disqus Comments plugin
In a nutshell I want people to be able to leave comments without me having to "approve" them - they appear immediately. But I also want to keep out spam. The anti-spam module for some reason was marking all comments - including my own - as spam. I have since added the Disqus plugin which hopefully will allow anyone with a free Disqus account to be able to leave comments that appear immediately. So far it appears to be working nicely.-

Dog bites human, sun rises in east – and Presiding Bishop lies
Oh where to start? There is plenty with which to find fault in what Presiding Bishop Katherine Jefferts-Schori had to say to the National Press Club on December 16. Baby Blue characterizes it as: … an amazingly sophomoric speech (which … Continue reading

Why (election) polls anyway?
According to the pre-election polls Sen Obama has already won. Perhaps that is the point. Why do we have these election polls anyway? Nothing inherently wrong with them of course. And they do measure how well a candidate is doing … Continue reading

George Will – For Obama Believing is Seeing
I doubt anyone on our street recycles as much as we do. We were the first to get one of the big recycling bins – and use it well. We recycle more than we throw away. I support strongly taking … Continue reading

Oh no – here we go again?
Gustav. Aw man. I admit my first reaction was “oh no – not again”. I confess that after what we went through with Katrina my desire to engage in relief work is… not what it was. This is the single … Continue reading
